Growth Poem by Maitreyi Jain

Growth

Walking through the bright lanes
I searched for the dim ones.

Feeling the moments of peace
I failed to spot the moments of uncertainties.

Hearing the laughter all around
I looked for the wound's count.

Seeing the crowd's massiveness
I hunted for the years of loneliness.

Dancing to the tune of oldness
I now walked ways into newness.

In the moments of novelty
I pondered over my naivety.

Naivety for searching gone in the existing
Appreciation for blending gone with the coming.

as growth is all about for forgetting
and still not forgetting
but embracing to start afresh with a learning.
