it starts with sperm and egg
in all the mammals He made
a liquid semen mess
who would guess
it forms and grows
eyes, brain, and toes
all those other integral parts
amazing how it all starts
a few years later
we're fully grown
hippo
platypus
canary
human
each with distinction of its own
miracle of growth
so simply sown
