Gun Blasts: Poem by Samlayy Broussard

Gun Blasts:

It Hit Me Like Lightening,
Striking Me In The Chest
Burning My Heart,
I Breathe Hard
But Still I Fell Apart.

My Life Flashed Before My Eyes,
Smiling, at The Sun
Swinging, Watching Kids Run

My Mind Becomes Numb,
I Saw No Light
Slight Screaming In The Distance
People Staring,
My Face Bloody With Regret

Gun Blasts Killed me
Or I Killed My Mind,
Im So Dead,
Physically And Mentally All
The Same.
