Haiku [a To Z] Poem by Ramesh Anand

Haiku [a To Z]

Autumn drizzle
a wallah shakes
the orchid bouquet

Bright wind
grandpa takes me
into his kiting day

Cloud pause
her camera lens clicks
the beach dawn

Double
rainbow, the sun rising
on its mirror

Eve of new year
rangoli patterns
in the street

Full moon -
winter's stillness
in a soap bubble

Garden sprinkler
my infant
steps with the flow

Holding on
with what she left behind
winter moon

Ice box
mother's last word
resonates in me

Japanese show
disasters bursting into
calmness

Kite cut off
the sound of children
fading with twilight

Long day
the mosque filling
into fullness

Monsoon ends...
the lake filling into
emptiness

New year starts...
the beggars dogging
waste bins

On the rock...
the descent of water ends
winter's loneliness

Piercing the
breeze, my chute lifts -
summer beach

Queue shivering of the autumn dawn

Rice fields...
bent woman reaping
gossip

Spring moon
the scent of jasmine
spreading in the night

Twilight spreads...
the jasmine petals in
the garlands shop

Uphill walking
she takes me into
winter clouds

Vast wellspring
the greenness of algae
on the fort

Winter twilight
homing mynahs
over my backstroke

Xylophone
my daughter sounds
the name of colors

Yoga show
the elephants bowing
into crow pose

Zebra crossing I step faster than the beep
