Haiku's Poem by Mark. A Heathcote

Haiku's

our mutual friendships
how long do they exist for
wild mint strangles all
~
my life's in danger
as I zipwire into love
free-falling snow
~
autumn makes amends
have to ask for forgiveness
let's end as friends
~
peas in a pod
is how we imagine love
'Boy - eat all your greens'
~
without guns or bombs
there wouldn't be fewer blossoms
falling without breaks
~
trying to connect
told to go and sling my hook
spring - flat broke and drunk
~
choosing team sides
my child's solution - simple
Black vs. White
~
work party invites—
are you in or are you out?
dilemma, are you?
~
butt of a joke—I'm
the self-deprecating type
laughing with the loons
~
June bugs and the moon
ask—what is it all about?
gangland killings
~
a welcoming door
and a friendly handshake
why—why did I cry?
~
break my trust just once
and volcanoes will erupt
Into black ash clouds
~
darling—I swear—you
were born to love me—and death
holds no penalty
~
out come the test sheets
and alarm bells start ringing
look—what do I care?
~
don't follow the sheep
baa—I've heard it all before
baa—sheep dip and all
~
the sofa bed is yours
and be more like you—you say
be empathetic
~
open and closed doors
more detention centres built
no new burial grounds
~
