Hailstones After Many Years! Poem by Damaru Ballav

Hailstones After Many Years!

Lightening lines through the dark
and disappears.
A sudden fuse cut-off,
darkness charges the room.
A loud thunder,
a cracked window pane,
and the hefty rain.
Hailstones after many years!
And the patting outside
gets me dewy-eyed.
Hailstones after many years!
shining bright in the night.
I feel the same drive.
To go out and collect them,
fill in my mouth and exhale the cool air out.
To drop few in my brothers' pants till they shout.
