Half Of Me Loves All Of You Poem by Talisa Dee Whitmore

Half Of Me Loves All Of You

My heart cries out for you,
while my mind says you won't be true.
My heart skips and speeds by your touch,
while my mind screams 'It's only lust.'
I can't choose what to do;
to my mind or to my heart do I be true?
My heart says that I can't live without you,
while my mind says I just don't know what to do.
My heart refuses to let you go,
while my mind shouts 'What he wants, he doesn't know.'
I don't want to deal with the lies;
I still give you a thousand more tries.
My heart refuses to leave and soar,
while my mind wishes for nothing more.
My heart falls for your tricks,
while my mind asks to no longer reminisce.
I can't choose what to do;
to my mind or to my heart do I be true?
