Half The Time I'M..... - Poem by Dan Hayter

The half filled cup of tea
Ran out of water and got thirsty
The half buttered piece of toast
Got cold waiting around
The half boiled egg
Made the soldiers soggy
The half drunk beer
Had had enough And stumbled home
The half eaten bar of chocolate
Felt fat and went on a diet
The half watched DVD
Sat on a shelf feeling dejected
The half open door
Peered round the corner looking in
The half open curtains
Invited in nosey neighbours
The half decorated house
Felt embarrassed when guests came round
The half cooked breast of chicken
Got salmonella and died
The half written poem.............
