Halves Of Me Poem by Gabriella Van Der Riet

Halves Of Me

I live in halves of this world
Half-truths
Half loved, half hated
Half Accepted, half rejected
Half immortal, half-dead
Half of everything, half of nothing
A separate me and a half of them
Almost gone but almost apart of
Half a circle that doesn't go all the way around,
It stops
Down the cycle, I go, go back, go forward
Only halfway from the bottom
Staring from halfway down,
Looking searching for the things that have been done
Outcasted to places of a half,
Having half of someone that only gives halves
Coming back to my life with half of everything, half of nothing at all
Gone, half of me and half of her
Half... Just Half
