Hamsa, Kaho Puratan Vat, O Swan, Tell You Ancient Tale By Kabir
O swan, tell you the same tale
Which has been since antiquity,
How long will you keep a-flutter,
When will you take a rest from
Your routined peddling?
O swan of manna, be you devoted to Him,
Know you your innerself,
God is within, try to see Him,
He is inside you!
Knowledge of self is more important
Than from being hypocritical and pontifical.
