Hand In Hand Poem by Kai Schultz

Hand In Hand

The grass is ever green, while we walk the path
Just me and you hand in hand
Thought the sun burns us with all it's warmth
It just makes the day more grand
For we are still hand in hand

The waters sparkle as we walk by
Leaving our steps in the sand
The birds sing as you kiss me, making me sigh
Sending shivers that can be felt across the land
We are still hand in hand

The years went by, you owned my heart
We sit on the porch watching the sun set
Looking at each other like fine pieces of art
Rocking back and forth hand in hand
Never thinking that we may never have met

The day comes and i got sick
My breathing shallow, my body cold
You come in face sad and lonely
You said your heart to me you sold
I gave my last breath but there we were still
Hand in Hand.
