Handlebars Poem by Carmela Patterson

Handlebars

Handlebars drape on a downward slope
parted, groomed to perfection
prickly to the touch on the mannequin
unreal sable hair, 'stash 'n eyes
black panted, white shirted
sitting on a unicycle
holding handlebars sloped downward
in the window,
shoeless at Payless.
