Hangman Poem by Benjamin Chew

Hangman

No grace, a single
soul in torment;

alone in the chapel, alone -
calling out to the
listening
walls.

Strange man hang, hang
on black
beams of wood,

carved stones of empty - alone
again
in the chapel.
