Helpless Poem by Benjamin Chew

Helpless

Lying on the cool floor
staring at the fluorescent
above.

Ringer buzzing in my ears;
is my sanity slipping by? - me
alone.

Flushes of warm red
blanket my face, in the swarm of strange
faces.

Oh my weak heart races
as tremors bring me to my knees.
Oh God.
