Happiness Poem by Veena kaul

I flew miles across the ocean to see where happiness stays, I searched and searched but couldn't find the hiding place... Happiness I called out all in vain and all I found was empty pain.

Tired and drained I sat there when I saw the ocean waves dancing to the tunes of winds in the air... I could see the trees sway and the little ones enjoying their play... I could smell the mud after the rains.

Now I could hear voices everywhere, and then I hear someone inside me say... I was right here why did u come all the way... You had locked me up in the world of anger and dismay all u had ta do was open your eyes and not search me everywhere... Happiness is what u feel and not search or buy from anywhere.
