Happy Poem by Josephine Lauderdale

Happy

In the grayness
I will wonder
Leaves underfoot
To go
And listen in the woods

I will strain to hear the silence
And try to remain calm

I scare the ducks
They fly away
Not knowing
They scared me too

I will have to turn around
At some point
And
Contemplate going home

Gathering what bits and pieces i can
To take back home with me

Happy to build the forest in my home
