Christ Jesus is my only Friend
Until my life-time’s end;
My Lord and Savior and my God –
My special Friend, so odd!

He had His birth on earth like me,
For sinners all to free;
He is my joy and Prince of peace,
Who heals all my disease.

He suffered death upon the cross,
Though earth and heaven’s Boss!
He lived a life obeying God,
And parents, although Lord!

He cares for me like father does,
Loves mother-like, sans fuss;
He guides me in my daily chores,
And opens newer doors!

A unique Friend is Jesus Christ!
My father, brother first;
He resurrected on third day,
As He is life and way!

Oh, what a lovely friend is God,
In Jesus form and Lord;
He will not forsake, abandon,
Stays near me as I run!

O Jesus, sins of mine hurt Thee;
And nailed Thee on the tree;
I pray I must not sin again,
And lose my soul in vain!

O Jesus Friend and Saviour Lord!
Let me forget this world;
In Thine foot-steps, I walk and trudge,
O LIVING GOD, AND JUDGE!
