Happy Teachers' Day,2019 Poem by Dr John Celes

The world we know is teachers' made;
The knowledge gained can never fade;
The wisdom taught can't be repaid;
If not for them, we stay less weighed!

The craft of teaching is an art;
Most teachers play so well their part;
Some words they say can pierce the heart;
Yes, teachers change the tiny tot!

Most teachers do not make it rich;
With care, they hem and make each stitch;
They find out student's every glitch;
At times, they brew ken like a witch!

A teacher is a friend and guide;
Most students, in their words abide;
The errant students, they do chide;
Good teachers are a student's pride!

But, students, do they thank teachers?
Some teachers turn into preachers;
Their sacrifices are galore;
Some teachers open newer doors!

A world sans teachers has gone mad;
A shining student makes them glad;
Their failures make most teachers sad;
Thank God for ‘teaching mom and dad! '
