Harry And Phillip Poem by Mustafa Marconi

Harry And Phillip

There’s a knife in Harry’s pocket
It’s a seven inch blade
It will cut through cotton or leather
Lamb skin or suede
He’s a retired master plumber
Who lately has been in a rage
He’s been victimizes consistently
These last few weeks
Victimizes only because of his age
Yesterday he was robbed of his necklace
The most cherished of all mementos
Of his dearly departed wife
That was the blow that opened the floodgates
Harry killed two innocent boys
With his double edge knife
He did not know what he was doing
He was in a deep, deep rage
You see he’s been victimized consistently
These last few weeks
Victimize only because of his age……….

It’s a silver plated 45
Semi auto, fully loaded
Angry and bitter deep inside
His youngest son was just railroaded
Phillip just finished serving
Did a bid for another man’s crime
Intuition recommended the boy should bounce
Though the night it happened they were all in the house
Still he was fingered by highly respected lady
Who witnessed the crime from her passing Mercedes
Seen him rape her as the little girl cried
Startled and frightened he looked into her eyes
Seen him get up, stumble and run
Lineup so colored she picked the wrong one
Convinced it was him because of his hair
Condemned by a jury of none of his peers
It’s a silver plated 45 and it’s fully loaded
His youngest son was just railroaded
