Hate No More Poem by Michael Peterson

Hate No More

In the news again
Things never change, everything out of range
Why do we play these games, it's child play?
Why do we hate so much, never know our fate?
Crazies shooting and killing young and old
For they blame them for their own pain
White, Black, Indians, Sikh, Muslims, Jews
Are no different inside, then we are outside?
Hatred and racism start in the home
Parents, grandparent, sisters, brothers
We need to change our ways
Life can be free and religion can too
Better to be different, life most challenging
We can learn, we can be Stearn
Violence is not the answer
People are the answer, change is on the way
Quit the hatred game, get rid of the shame
Start at home, more will come
Hate no more
