Hathras Girl Poem by Nowshad Parattu Veettil

Hathras Girl

Her cry breaks
The strings of tranquil breeze
It engraves a chasm
On her mom's womb
Her groan ripples
The tears of the glob
She, snatched from the lap
Of millet crops
Her resist fails
In the fist of lust
Her corpse lurks
In the gloom of bigotry
Her chopped tongue yells out
"Freedom is massacred"
The rapture melts away
In the hut of Dalit village! !

*Hathras: Hathras is a district in Uttar Pradesh in India.
