Haunted - Poem by Greg Dills

HAUNTED

I hear the echo of silent screams
Haunting laughter in my dreams
I call your name but you don't come
Again and again I run away from
This invisible thing I cannot see
The thing that seems to torture me
It has no face that I can define
But over and over its web I entwine
I cannot run nor can I hide
For the demon lives in me deep inside
