Though peace and joy should be my song
Though love should be my guide
Yet when it seems my life is wrong
I fail to look inside
I fail to ask the reason why
To question when and how
Though God; they say can see my lie
Yet still I fail to bow
I‘ll find excuses by the score
From truth I’ll run for miles
I’ll seek to cover every flaw
Behind a mask of smiles
But then when darkness floods the night
When thoughts run wild in streams
When shadows steal the failing light
The world should hear my screams
What happens on the day I die?
Is hell and Heaven real
Does all the world reflect as I
And feel as I now feel
I see death’s hand, I see the grave
I feel the sweat pearls flow
If only God were there to save
If only He would know
Are You there Lord, is Jesus true?
Can sinners find Your grace
Can I yet dream and hope in You?
One day I’ll see your face
Is hell the only place I’ll go?
Is Heavens door shut tight?
Have yet my tears to always flow
Will You not end my plight?
