Have seen you in the darkness, in the
Room without windows
A moving line drawing close
Your fragrance or be it not, directs
Me to the light under the door

Have seen you under the white night sky
You are asleep under the tree
I came to you in slumber……you there,
Stretched your hands……knowing
Its me

You are there, out in the open…I have seen you many times
You have moved with the mist, over
The valley, across the river
Beneath the sky

Now, I see you from my window…the mist has cleared
I am picking flowers, red, and blue
Yellow……roses, frangipani, and tulips
From the fences that stop me from
Going nowhere

The rains keep coming and going,
There’s slush on the road
The leaves are green after a dirty summer
A streak of light appears before the clouds are gone

The earth is all over now
Clayey, …moist….fragrant.
I remember I saw you yesterday
…….You’ve been there love all along
