They said my writing didn't have any
Value
(A worthless preoccupation of an idle mind)
But when I started eating it
I began to grow
Like Alice, too big for small worlds
Breaking through rooftops
Beyond the reach of trees
My forehead touching clouds
Lightning streaking through my hair
Seeing for the first time
Raindrops forming
A cavalcade of tears
Through unfathomable distance
From the crest of heavenly stars
The pull of grave Earth
Too great
For moments to pass
Unnoticed.
