He Poem by Lakirra Nelson

He

The pain subsided\but the picture clear\I see with who he sided\and my look becomes a sneer.

His heart is no longer mine\though hurt I will be fine\I'll always remember his gracious matter\ he seemed to know just how to flatter.

In my dreams I see his face\but love was never in our fate\and near my heart is his place\heart broken there's still no hate.

I cried when he left\all in ears was deaf\I smiled when the shock wore off\I laughed when the pain wore off.

As friends we shall remain\as my first is where he stands\though he brought such pain\we share great bonds
