This could be a strategy of the Poet-Seer. I am reminded of Hamlet putting on (what he calls) AN ANTIC DISPOSITION or madness, so that his enemies will see him as a harmless idiot. But Hamlet's irrepressible brilliance make his so-called madness another expression of his mental superiority. The strategy planned here will effectively deceive the enemy and catch them off-guard. They will be blinded when he finally reveals his true strength.
