He's Not Like You - Poem by Ranock Saing

Now when you look at me, there aren't any tears on my cheeks anymore
Things will change, it won't be the same like before
Today we decide that we should part
even though it's breaking my heart
I promise you I won't cry
or hear you say you sympathize
But our memories together, I will never forget
Nor will I ever regret
Sometimes I wonder at one moment you were just here, you were my best friend
Someone who promised me he'll be here until the end
To this day I still remember your promise
and the way you would kiss
Still in denial, I wish this never happened to me
To change happiness to sadness and everything that our love used to be
As time past by, my heart finds someone knew
It wishes that person was somewhat like you
He will never take your place
What's left with me will also never be erased
actually I sit alone sometimes thinking to myself
My heart is crying for help
the other guy, he treats me just fine
Like any girl's dream but he doesn't change my mind
Most of the times he tells me he cares
Except I don't know if he'll always be there
Parts of him reminds me of you and it fills me with guilt
then it makes me feel unfaithful and along pain is built
I just smile and hold his hand
In reality, I'm not really with him, I wish you would understand
when he gives me his arms to hold
awkwardness just fills up my soul
Never can I bear to see him frown
Because of you, I have to let another person down
Most of the times I just wish we didn't meet that day
besides killing me inside, you're not going away
