He Said, 'I Pity...' Poem by Yohann Dafeu

He Said, 'I Pity...'

Rating: 5.0

He said, 'I pity that old woman, ' but ran away when she asked for help.
He said, 'I pity that poor man, ' but walked away when he asked for help.
He said, 'I pity that young blind guy, ' but did not help him cross the road.
He said, 'I pity that lame child, ' and so his journey continued.
If pitying means doing nothing,
then helping means doing everything.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I am an advocate for love, peace, respect, etc. The way some people express their feeling of pity towards others always looks beautiful, but their pity never takes a step forward.
