He That Lived (For Chief Ezemalukwuo, Nwoye Egbuonu) Poem by *Tony Cemaluk Egbuonu

He That Lived (For Chief Ezemalukwuo, Nwoye Egbuonu)

He that lived,
And died
Fighting —
Against Disrespect,
Against Injustice,
Against the Gang-up,
Against Avarice,
Against Usurpation.

Who?
Only one name fits.
Chief EzeMalukwuo Nwoye Egbuonu.

Whose father?
Tony Cemaluk Egbuonu.
No little wonder then —
The bud from the scion,
The Lion from the Lion,
The fire that would not bow.
