'He Took Pine...' Poem by Zinaida Nikolayevna Gippius

'He Took Pine...'

He took pine of the earthly road -
First and unique one since;
Washed legs of them whoever roam -
The Servant and the Prince.

He cried with us - The legal Master
Of earth and sea, we view…
A king, a teacher, and a brother -
And he's a Jew.
