He Watches Poem by Tyler Dee

He Watches

I walk into the room
the breathing machines have stopped
been removed
he lies there
slipping into another world
as i do the same in my own way
he leaves
i remain
My first time seeing a person die
my last time ever being normal
the me that cared disappeared forever
now this shell full of lies remains
i am alone in pain
he cannot save me
nor guide me for he has passed
as i stand here
he watches
i fight the urge to crumble
he watches
i cry
he watches
i fight
he watches
i take the 'antidote'
he watches
i am alone with her
he watches
i hate myself
he cries
a little piece of me dies
whats left of me
a black abyss
he watches
