Hear My Plea Poem by Gloraly Gomez

Hear My Plea

</>When we met
You were simply an amazing guy
I wouldn't bet
You'd leave for whoever else had walked by
You had a bunch
Of 'Love me' signs hanging all over
So I took the punch
When I found out that they were just a cover
I guess that's why
I slowly fell for you over time
And I can't deny
That for a little while you seemed sublime
But in a way
It's my fault for not reading between the lines
Since all that time
I had kept going without noticing the signs
Now it's too late
And I can't bear the weight that this fate has put on me
I'll have to wait
Until you choose to stop playing games and finally hear my plea...
