Smile Empty Soul Poem by Gloraly Gomez

Smile Empty Soul

</>It is dawn
And we're sitting, side by side
As the silence slowly falls upon us
On this lawn
You can see the clouds divide
As the sun shines on, yellow as a bus
'Look at me'
You said to me, whispering
'Tell me what you truly see in my eyes'
'We're not free'
I whisper back, frowning
'There's nothing to believe, except the lies'
Deaths still come
Then silence becomes crying
As I continue, I'm feeling so cold
Life goes on
But everyone's still dying
And I think to myself 'Smile empty soul...'
