Heart - Poem by THEODORE CARLTON III

WHERE DID U COME FROM, NOT BECAUSE I WANNA GO BUT IM GLAD U LEFT,
U'VE TAKEN SOMETHING FROM ME THAT I'VE HAD SAFELY KEPT.
MY HEART IS WHAT U'VE TAKEN AND LEFT NOT EVEN A TRACE,
NOT A BEAT NOT A BLOOD VESSAL, JUST A HEART SHAPED EMPTY SPACE
IM NOT MADE THAT U'VE TAKEN IT I KEPT IT LONG AS I COULD,
JUST PROMISE ME U'LL CHERISH IT AND USE IT ONLY FOR GOOD.
U'LL NEVER BREAK IT OR LET IT GET HURT IN ANY WAY U CAN CONTROL,
HOLD ON TO IT TIGHTLY AND NEVER LET IT GO.
U MUST UNDERSTAND IT HAS BEEN BROKEN BEFORE,
IT TOOK ME FOREVER TO GET THE PIECES FROM THE FLOOR.
I TRUST U AND HAVE NO DOUBT U'LL KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH IT,
BUT IF BROKEN AGAIN ALL THE GLUE IN THE WORLD WOULDNT BE ABLE TO FIX IT.
ALL THAT I NEED AND ALL THAT I WANT IS IN U.
NOT FOR WHAT U HAVE OR WHAT U CAN DO.
BUT WHO U ARE AND WHAT U STAND FOR,
I LOVE U FOR BEING U, LOVEING ME AND NOTHING MORE.
