Heart - Poem by Thandolwethu Ntshintshi

Put your hand on my heart
Do you hear it beat, as it gives life to me?
It is the powerhouse of this body the heart
Now I give this heart my heart from me to you to safe guard it with all your heart
For I depend on you for survival

Never lose sight of it, take care of it and I will take care of yours from you to me I will take care your heart
Like the mighty Roman emperor I will guard it with its strength and power
I will stand firm with all weaponry at disposal to guard it from all that may silence it

This is my heart from me to you yours from you to me I will care for it for you depend on me and I on you
I shall guard it till end of time your heart you mine
So then...let me live till end of time you my protector
My heart from me to you I entrust

Please let me live

A very romantic poem written from inner recesses of the heart. Besides the biological function of the heart, it is also divinely ordained to love. A nice poem indeed. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON. (Report) Reply
