Heart 2: Turned Black Poem by Zinger Wingz

Heart 2: Turned Black

Rating: 5.0

We'll smile with tears in our eyes
With our heavy hearts
Dragging us down
It's imprisoned
Turned black
Black from dark thought absorbtion
Black from never opening it up to see light
Black from only using it at night
Black from suppressing it from feeling
Black from the ashes of your burnt self/esteem
Black from blackness blinding
It's black
A big black beautiful heart
You nurtured oh so beautifully
It's heavy and it's holding you back
You're imprisoned
Unintentionally, Unknowingly
Behind the bars of a caged black heart
Bars of Fear
Bars of Hate
Bars of Sadness
Bars a big black heart
A heavy black heart
You hold in your hand
It beats
Beats so sore
Veins and arteries turned black
Passing dead blood through them
Turning your insides black
No apology nor regret would
Unblacken a staunched black heart
So we smile with tears in our eyes
Tears of paraffin
It burns blackening a heart
Beating through so many bandages
Through neglect
Because nothing hurts more than not being loved by your keeper
