Heart Poem by Matthew Edan Oliver Palma

Heart

Be still

Be calm

Don’t you challenge my will

Be strong

Be whole

Don’t you dare to be wrong

Flutter like a butterfly

Every moment she says “hi! ”

Burning like a torch of flame

A wary feeling just the same

For this heart never learns

With all these things that it yearns

Too close that it gets burned

With all the heart aches that it earns

Be still

Be calm

I can’t hold you in my palm

Be strong

Be whole

Don’t make me yet again a fool…
