HEART BEATS OUTPACED:
Heart beats out paced by mind and
Movement from touch running wild
The young meet to have life with a kiss
The heart with disconnect from style
The young name worldly things
Like new trees as if young things
That defile their hearts will
That they are after holy blood
So pure in mystery so may live the tree
Consider the bridal chamber in
The world to be another mystery
Love so willed so freely whole and
So contradictory the heart turns
What is real
To what is unreal in the bridal chamber
More for more so pure as dance
To rap and funk and string and brass
As copper will
No one can know when the young
Have sex to conceive except
Married to know the sex they have
This world is a mystery sullied
And hidden how much more
For more is unsullied marriage true
"It is not fleshly but pure… not to night…
But to the day and the light"
Wherein the young are novel characters
With heads not screwed on right.
