Heart Break. Poem by Unknown Rushing

My heart is shattered, broken and bruised
The love we shared, now lost and refused
The pain is deep, the wounds still raw
Memories of us, leave me feeling flawed

The tears I cry, they flow like a river
My hopes and dreams, shattered forever
The pain inside, it won't go away
A reminder of love, that couldn't stay

But with each passing day, I learn to heal
To mend my heart, and start to feel
A glimmer of hope, a new beginning
The strength to move on, a heart still beating

So I take a deep breath, and find my stride
With my head held high, and heart open wide
I embrace the future, with all its unknowns
And leave behind, the love that's gone.
