Heart Of Steel...

My heart is made of steel...
Cold and hard...
My eyes of marble...
Blank and thoughtless...
My body of barricades...
Protecting and shielding...
Altogether this is me...
Protecting my heart, and blocking my thoughts...
Only I know what I feel...
Only I know this pain so surreal...
I am waiting for that one right guy to come along...
To melt the steel,
To carve the marble,
To take down the barricades...
To love me...
To hold me and tell me everything will be okay...
For when the tears run down my face,
He will wipe the tears away...
He will make me feel all warm inside...
He will hug me his arms so wide...
I will cherish every moment that he holds me close,
I will love him back in the biggest possible dose...
Until... I stand here waiting...
For that one special guy...
With him honesty will take over,
I would never lie...
I stand here waiting with my heart upon my chest...
Cold and bare as always...
Waiting for him to give it a rest...
My eyes blank and hard,
As i watch with all this fear...
That my knight in shining armor will never come to appear...
