Heart to heart in all candor
I must till you of your worth
Your apparent intrinsic value
Has attended you since your birth

Face to face I want to apprise you
How invaluable you are to me
I can see in your true reflection
That which I surely want to see

Eye to eye we should see it
As life is really meant to be
There is a niche for you to fill
There is one that's meant for me

Back to back we shall defend
Against that which would spoil
Every onslaught we shall defeat
Every turmoil we shall foil

Soul to soul there is an echo
Who can determine its true source?
Source and echo shall blend and meld
When two loves have run their course.
