Heart Vs. Soul
There's a war going on between my heart and my soul.
The heart wants to be mended
and to accept happiness
and the love that is calling out for me.
The soul, on the other hand,
wants to call it quit
it wants to rest and never be awakened
to never live through another day of inner pain.
I've been told that the soul has always been more powerful than the heart..
Well, they're damn right.
