Heartache Poem by Dawn Keller

Heartache

Rating: 4.5

Working all week long, time for a break
Getting off work, deciding to go out
Head home, get ready to have some fun
On my way now, down to bar to walk about

Should I really be here, I need some peace
Hanging out with friends, Need you off my mind
Need a long break, wash my heartache away
Drinking away sorrows, trying not to get in a bind

Only a few more hours to go, we are having fun
Trying not to think about you, Time is wasting away
You broke my heart, Now its all going to disappear
Drinking your memory down, Will the pain go away

Tomorrow is another day, hungover again
Trying not to think about work, time to go
Walking to my truck, memories flash back
Why did you have to leave, why did you have to go

Heartache is not easy, friends are all I have
They lift me up, when I am feeling down
Someday you will regret, leaving me all alone
Time to move on, turn this frown upside down.
