Heartless Fraudster Poem by Anyim Mobuchi Noble

Heartless Fraudster

I hope you know that your love is a lie;
Cold bland pretender.
I hope you know that you almost won,
And you've scarred a part of me.

You took my innocence for granted;
Shame on you!
You made me a stranger to myself,
You showed me the road to ruins.

I hope you know how you enslaved me.
How foolishly I had thought of you;
But, you were like a shadow -
Gone by the night.

There will be no place for a broken heart,
Which chose to love a fraud.
My life is a ship, I am the captain;
I've chosen the seas to sail.

Maybe I'll find a reason to forget.
But, even if your chance at redemption fails,
And though you don't even deserve it,
I hope you know, that I forgive you.
