Heaven Bound

Poem by Patrick J. Hymer

I rise amongst the clouds being with you.
Every time we touch, it's as if we both knew,
Together our love will grow, and always be true,
I feel as it I were with and angel whilst you are around,
And secure in the feeling, our love is Heaven Bound.
The winds are cold, thru the winter snow,
But holding you in arms, and the warmth you show,
We're like a cloud together, that the North winds blow,
And the winds subside when our eyes are aglow.
Our hearts beat together, a delightful sound.
And I'm secure in the feeling our love is Heaven Bound.
Just as a leaf, a sign has fallen to earth,
And I thank the Lord for He has given us birth,
A love to cherish and all that's it's worth,
Your touch, your presence, your heart and most of all mirth.
All thru the years our love will gain ground,
And we'll be secure in the feeling. our love is Heaven Bound.
There will be times our love might seem to wither,
And the clouds separate, whilst the winds are bitter,
But our hearts being well tuned, we'll listen to the sound,
And once again, we'll be secure in the feeling our love is Heaven Bound.
In our hearts , we know the years are due to take there toll,
Our health, our bodies, but not our very soul,
But with our love, eternity is our only goal,
And I hear the winds opening the clouds above the ground,
We are secure in the feeling, our love is Heaven Bound.
