Heaven On Earth Poem by Modupeola Williams

Heaven On Earth

Thou smilest bright as a child
So pure, untainted as the sun,
And I the bud that blooms in thy radiant light

Within thy sight, as a phoenix I rise
High … to the skies I soar above all
Low lie the ashes below
Blown away by the wind ‘neath my wings
….I soar and they scatter
