Heavenly Musings Poem by Masero Odari

Heavenly Musings

No one should ever go through what we did
For a son should not a tender age be separate
From she who is the primary care-giver
And if it was her fault would you still forgive her?
Well I sure as hell did.

We never did really connect
Or get a chance to reflect
On the joys and horrors of life
Our existence was always filled with strife
And that mother-son thing we never really did perfect.

Well now that you're gone
I can no longer pick up the phone
Maybe it is a cruel cruel world
For all the stories that were left untold
Maybe its the way of the universe
That I may be a man of flesh and of bone.
