Dissecting The Past Poem by Masero Odari

Dissecting The Past

Rating: 3.0

You're a fool, that is why I hate you
When I was young where the hell were you?
You're a fool, that is why I hate you
You gave me sleepless nights at just the age of two
You're a fool, that is why I hate you
I'm only here because I pushed myself to peservere.

When I was down you watched me bleed
And wallowed excitedly in my defeat
You're a fool, that is why I hate you
I put my soul out there for you
But you laughed and made me a scarecrow
But I stood up and I walked because I just had to.

You're a fool, that is why I hate you
I pledged allegiance and so much more
But you tore me down and made me a scarecrow
I put my life and love in your hands
But you threw it all away, you washed your hands
I pray solemnly that you be cursed
Until the day you right our trangressful past.
