Hegira Poem by David Kowalczyk

Hegira

Rating: 5.0

Sometimes
I doubt
there's more to life
than what meets the eye.

Then, I sense mystery
in the laughter of a child,
and my spirit is renewed.
I want to laugh again.
The way I laughed as a child.
Sin razones.

Not sure if the Spanish last line adds anything to the poem, or detracts by 'over-explanation' Perhaps ending it at 'as a child' would be more effective.
